Peter's Pentecost Sermon - part 1
On the day of Pentecost, after the Holy Spirit enabled the gathered believers to speak other languages, Peter preached to the curious crowd, explaining that the ability to speak other languages was an example of the type of supernatural power to be displayed in the last days, with many dramatic signs leading up to the "great and glorious day of the Lord." Peter also charged the onlookers with responsibility for Jesus' death through their use of the Romans. God raised Jesus from the dead and commissioned Peter and the other apostles as witnesses of His resurrection.

The Holy Spirit Prays for You!
The creation groans as it waits for the curse to be lifted (Romans 8:22), and believers in Jesus groan (Romans 8:23) as we wait for our glorification. In Romans 8:26-27, we see that the Holy Spirit is also groaning with us as He intercedes for us, and His prayers are always heard and understood, because He always prays according to the will of God. Our heavenly Father, our Savior the Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all making sure that we reach our final redemption and glorification!

Jesus is Our Righteous God and Savior
This devotional is on Isaiah 45:21–23, highlighting God’s dual identity as both a righteous Judge and a Savior, emphasizing that His justice and mercy are perfectly united in Christ. It underscores the exclusive nature of God’s salvation, declaring that no other deity can redeem, and that all humanity will ultimately acknowledge His sovereignty. The passage is presented as a divine invitation to turn to God in repentance and faith, grounded in His unchanging oath and the finished work of Jesus Christ. The tone is both reverent and urgent, calling believers to remember Christ’s atoning sacrifice at the Lord’s Table while affirming the universal scope of God’s redemptive plan. The message culminates in the assurance that salvation is complete, secure, and solely through Christ, who is worthy of worship and allegiance. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/6126215245514

The Promised Holy Spirit Comes
This Bible study centers on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, marking the birth of the Church and the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. As the 120 believers gathered in prayer, a supernatural event unfolded: a sound like a violent rushing wind and tongues of fire appeared, signifying the Holy Spirit’s arrival, which was distributed to every believer, not just a select few. This miraculous manifestation enabled the disciples—ordinary Galileans—to speak in known human languages, allowing devout Jews from every nation to hear the gospel proclaimed in their native tongues, proclaiming the mighty deeds of God. The crowd responded with awe and confusion, asking, 'What does this mean?', while others mocked them as drunk; Peter, empowered by the Spirit, refuted the drunkenness claim and declared that this event was the fulfillment of the prophet Joel’s prophecy, inaugurating the last days. The sermon underscores the universal, inclusive nature of the Spirit’s work, the divine orchestration of history, and the Church’s mission to proclaim God’s salvation to all nations, beginning with a powerful, Spirit-empowered witness in Jerusalem. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/5302611386245

In Romans 8:22-25, the apostle Paul continues his personification of the creation, saying that in addition to its yearning for the revealing of God's children in verses 19-21, the creation groans as though in childbirth in anticipation of the time we are revealed and all is made right. We also join in the groaning, having the down payment of our inheritance in the form of the Holy Spirit, waiting for our glorified bodies. But we do not simply groan in this present life; we also wait in confident certainty of the future that God has promised us, which in Biblical language is true hope.
