Dear friends in Christ,
With both joy and bittersweet hearts, we share that Pastor Eric has accepted a new call to serve another congregation within the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Synod (ELCA). After much discernment, Pastor Eric feels led by the Holy Spirit into this next chapter of ministry. We celebrate this movement of God’s love and trust that the same Spirit who has guided us together will continue to lead us all forward.
We are deeply grateful for the seasons of laughter, tears, and transformation we have shared. Pastor Eric’s ministry among us has been a gift. A gift marked by compassion, justice, and a deep sense of belonging. As we prepare for this transition, we invite your prayers for Pastor Eric and for Peace Lutheran Church as we listen for God’s call in this new season.
Pastor Eric’s last worship service with Peace Lutheran will be Sunday, May 31, the Feast of the Holy Trinity. The service will include a formal farewell and Godspeed and a celebration of ministry following worship. Details about the worship service and celebration of ministry will be coming soon.
May the God who journeys with us bless Pastor Eric and our faith community with courage, peace, and hope. There is a season for everything, and during each season, God’s love remains constant.
