Saint Anastasia Catholic Church

Saint Anastasia Catholic Church Parish Office is open to the public. Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm St. Anastasia Catholic Church’s present church was dedicated on Sept. 26, 1999 by John J.

Snyder, Bishop of St. Augustine. The church area is 26,000 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 1,569. The design of our new church reflects the Spanish heritage of St. Augustine with its coquina exterior, Spanish tile roofs and the decorative stone facings. The liturgical design incorporates changes promulgated after Vatican II. A 57 ft. high bell tower graces the church and may be seen from miles

away. The bell tower and (carillon) is one of approximately 200 in the USA. The carillon evolved in the 16th Century in Europe; the first was in stalled in the USA at the University of Notre Dame in 1856. A Time Capsule is located in the Altar Platform to be opened in the Year 2049 and contains local community and church memorabilia since 1985. The round rose window above the Tabernacle depicts the Resurrection. “Anastasis” in Greek means resurrection. Learn more about our Patron Saint in the link “Anastasia the Saint.” The Angel window between the altar and the tabernacle chapel is of beveled glass and reflects light rays of the morning sun throughout the church.

On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We are encouraged, as followers of Christ, to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart. You are welcome to pray at the Blessed Sacrament, come visit the church for quiet prayer and, if you're able, come to Morning Mass at 9am to receive the Eucharist.

To download the prayer from the USCCB, visit www.saccfl.org and click the link on the top of the homepage.

On the Occasion of the U.S. Bishops Consecrating the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us pray

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:

You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you.

From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst.

Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you.

We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation.

May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed.

May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.

O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America.

Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

Congratulations to the newly ordained priests of our Diocese!

Many of you will recognize the two priests standing next to Bishop Pohlmeier on the left side of the photo—Father Steve Henderson and Father Ken Laybourn. Both men served here at St. Anastasia during their time in the Seminary!

Please keep Fr. Steve Henderson, Fr. Ken Laybourn, Fr. Justino Moreno, Fr. Stephen Parker, and all of the priests and seminarians throughout the Diocese in your prayers as they continue their ministry and vocation.

May God bless them abundantly as they serve His Church.

Filmed at the historic Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, Fr. Timothy Lindenfelser, J.C.L., V.F. delivers a beautiful reflection on the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. He connects Mary's total devotion as a mother to the radical love of the Holy Eucharist, highlighting the shrine’s powerful history of miracles, healing for families, and the comforting truth that no matter our sins or struggles, we are never alone.
