All Saints’ Weekend

October 31 & November 1 | All Worship Hours

All Saints’ Weekend is a time when we remember loved ones with a special prayer liturgy. As part of our in-person and online worship, the names of Nativity members who have died in the past year will be read followed by the ringing of a bell. At the conclusion, we’ll remember all loved ones who have died with the lighting of candles.

Who's ready for treats??

Nativity’s Trunk-or-Treat is just around the corner…. Join us for an afternoon of fun, treats and costumes! Everyone is welcome, so be sure to invite family, friends, and neighbors.

This year at the event we’ll collect household goods and non-perishable food items to donate to Little Kitchen and District 282’s food shelf. It’s a great event to meet new people, celebrate together, and give back to the community.

Treat donations (both candy and non-food) are very appreciated and can be dropped off during business hours through the end of this week. If you’d like to help or have questions about the event, contact Leah Reddy at [email protected]. We hope to see everyone there!

Grounded & Growing: A New Reformation
October 25, 9:15-10:15 am | Fellowship Hall

Former Anglican Bishop, Mark Dyer, has said: “Every 500 years the Christian church feels compelled to hold a giant rummage sale—eliminating what is no longer needed and rediscovering treasures it had forgotten.” The Protestant Reformation began in 1517, and 500 years later, we are in the midst of a new reformation. What are we questioning? And what is being re-discovered in the Lutheran church and the wider Christian body? Presenter Pat Hendricks will draw upon her 23 years of active ministry with churches and para-church organizations to offer this engaging and interactive presentation on Reformation Sunday.

In honor of Reformation Weekend October 24-25, we're bringing a German flavor to Wednesday dinner! Enjoy brats, sausage, pepper & onions, hot potato salad, and sweet & sour cabbage. Meals are $6.00/person or $20/family. All meals include a side, drinks, salad, veggies/fruit, and dessert. Gluten-free and vegan options will be available. All are welcome. No one is turned away due to cost. Invite a friend or neighbor!

We're Still Seeking about a Dozen Trunks!

Nativity's popular Trunk or Treat is just around the corner. To make the event a success, we’re still looking for a dozen more volunteers who would like to host a trunk for our trick-or-treaters! Simply bring candy for 300 children. It’s also helpful (but not required) to have some non-food treats like stickers, bubbles, or small toys.

Bonus points for dressing up and decorating your trunk! If you can’t host a trunk that day but would like to help out, treat donations are very appreciated! If you’d like to host a trunk or want to learn more, contact Renee Hoffman at [email protected].
