❤️ Why St. Alban's? ❤️

Every church has a story, but the heart of every church is its people.

We recently asked a few members of our St. Alban the Martyr family a simple question:

✨ "What keeps you coming back to St. Alban's?" ✨

Their answers remind us that church is more than a building. It's a place of worship, fellowship, friendship, service, and belonging. It's where we encounter Christ and walk alongside one another in faith.

We're grateful for the many people who make St. Alban the Martyr such a welcoming and vibrant community, and we're excited to share more of their stories in the weeks ahead.

What keeps YOU coming back to church? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Ministry 🎉

Today, we give thanks to God as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Reverend Keith Votes' ministry as Rector of The Episcopal Church of St. Alban the Martyr.

🕊️✨ Trinity Sunday at St. Alban the Martyr ✨🕊️

On this First Sunday after Pentecost, the Church celebrates Trinity Sunday—a day when we reflect on the mystery and beauty of God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In today's sermon, Fr. Keith invited us to consider one of life's most important questions:

Why does the Church exist?

Drawing from the Great Commission in Matthew's Gospel, he reminded us that the Church exists to share the love of Christ, make disciples, baptize, and invite others into the life of God.

Using the beautiful image of the Holy Trinity as a dance of perfect love, unity, grace, and relationship, Fr. Keith reflected on how, through baptism, we are invited into that divine dance. Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in perfect communion, we too are called to live in community with one another—supporting, forgiving, encouraging, and loving one another as members of the Body of Christ.

One of the most powerful reminders from today's sermon was that when one member of the Body is missing, the dance is incomplete. The Church is strongest when all are welcomed, valued, and invited to participate in God's work.

May we continue to grow together in faith, deepen our relationships with one another, and share Christ's love with the world around us.

🎉 Join us as we celebrate the Patronal Feast of St. Alban the Martyr! 🎉

We warmly invite our parish family, neighbors, friends, and the wider community to come celebrate this special day with us as we honor St. Alban, Britain's first Christian martyr, whose faith, courage, and witness continue to inspire Christians around the world.

Following our service, we'll gather together in true St. Alban's fashion—with fellowship, food, laughter, and community—as we also recognize and celebrate our graduates and their accomplishments.

At St. Alban the Martyr, we believe that faith is lived not only in worship, but in the relationships we build and the community we share. Whether you're a longtime parishioner, a first-time visitor, or simply looking for a welcoming church home, there is a place for you here.

Come worship, celebrate, and fellowship with us. We would love to welcome you!

❤️ All are welcome.

On Sunday at The Episcopal Church of St. Alban the Martyr, we celebrated the great Feast of Pentecost — often called the “birthday of the Church.” 🔥🕊️

Pentecost commemorates the moment in the Book of Acts when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles like “tongues of fire,” filling them with boldness, wisdom, and the ability to speak so that people from many nations could understand the Good News of Christ. In many ways, it is seen as the reversal of the Tower of Babel — where once language divided humanity, the Holy Spirit now united people through faith, understanding, and shared purpose.

Throughout the church today, the color red filled the sanctuary — from vestments to parishioners’ clothing — symbolizing the fire of the Holy Spirit, God’s power, love, and presence moving among His people.

As we sang, “Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly dove,” we were reminded that Pentecost is not simply about an event long ago, but about the continued movement of God’s Spirit within the Church and within each of us today.

Here are a few moments from this beautiful and Spirit-filled Pentecost Sunday at St. Alban the Martyr ❤️🕊️🔥

Today at The Episcopal Church of St. Alban the Martyr, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful service filled with love, fellowship, and gratitude.

Following worship, roses and carnations were shared in honor of the many mothers and mother figures who nurture, guide, support, and love so deeply. Today, we gave thanks for mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, soon-to-be mothers, pet mothers, spiritual mothers, and the cherished memories of those who are no longer with us but remain forever in our hearts.

It was a joyful morning of prayer, community, and celebration as we honored the women whose love reflects God’s care and compassion in our lives each and every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special. Here are a few moments from this beautiful Mother’s Day at St. Alban the Martyr 🌸

Wishing all a peaceful, safe, and Happy Mother’s Day.
