🎉 It’s a high-speed, race car–themed week packed with fun, faith, and unforgettable memories!

Looking forward to tonight's Bible study in Proverbs. Here is a sample from our verses tonight!

Just because you're busy doesn't mean you're being faithful.

Proverbs 24:30–34 describes a neglected field—overgrown with thorns and broken down walls. It wasn’t destroyed overnight… it was slowly ignored.

What’s striking is that the owner may not have been lying in bed all day. He might have been busy—just not with what mattered most.

Laziness isn’t always about doing nothing. Sometimes, it’s doing everything except the thing God is calling you to do.

The opposite of laziness is not busyness; it’s faithful stewardship.

Are you tending the "field" God has given you—your spiritual life, your family, your calling? Or are thorns growing while you're caught up in lesser things?

Let’s be intentional. Let’s be faithful. Let’s put first things first.

📖 As I was studying 1 John 3:11–19, for tomorrow's sermon this thought hit me.

Many Christians say, “Someone in the church hurt me, so I’m done with organized religion.”

But have you ever thought about what that really means?
It’s like saying, “Because I didn’t receive love, I won’t give love. Because I was mistreated, I’ll withhold what was withheld from me.”

That’s not the love of Christ—it’s a reflection of the very behavior that caused the hurt in the first place.
It turns the church into a place where others are expected to serve me, but I have no responsibility to serve them.

But the apostle John says something radically different:
True spiritual life is proven by the way we love—especially when it’s hard. (1 John 3:14)

Maybe instead of walking away, we’re being called to love better than we were loved… to be part of the healing, not just another wound.

Let’s choose love in action—not just in word. 💙
