Dear Unity Friends,
There are times when emotions supersede words, and in that space, there is simply a knowing. Maybe it's the first time you look into your child or grandchild's eyes, and you know you're holding an old soul destined to do great things.
Or maybe you've experienced love at first sight and felt your heart leap for joy knowing that same feeling was shared by your new beloved.
Or maybe you've come to a crossroad, and your path leads you to make a turn and carry on all the while knowing the unfamiliar terrain may hold unexpected challenges.
For me, I would say in my time here, I have experienced all of the above with you. There are many wise old souls among you that have done amazing things. There are many I have loved instantly...your wit, wisdom and generosity. And now my path is taking a turn, and I'm off to see the wizard to see what might be next for me...fewer brain cells needed? A larger, freerer heart? Courage to make each day awesome and continue aging gracefully?
I hope you'll be able to be here this Sunday as I click my heels and prepare to return home; but know this: This community is also one of my homes and I'll never be far away.
Joining Amber this Sunday is Sabra Faulk, Ralph Gilmore on drums, and Jay Trapp on base. What an awesome sendoff!
If you can't be here in person, join us livestreaming at 10am MT www.youtube.com//streams
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
NO NEW PROGRAMS TO BE INIATED DURING THIS TIME OF TRANSITION - Many things are changing in our community, and that's not a bad thing. Change is how everything is renewed. Our beloved board chair, Patrick Graham, has resigned from the board and is taking some time for personal renewal over the next year.
WHO DOES WHAT IN THIS TRANSITION?
Our new board chair is Doug Barningham. Stacey Reichardt, board treasurer, will be the administrative point person for scheduling and communications. Anything financial should be run through Stacey. Dormi Torrey, our bookkeeper, is also a whiz on techie stuff and will be putting out the weekly eBlast with the help of Mary Clare Lynch, who assembles the bulletins after Linda Lygre formats the order of service and announcements. Mary Clare is also chairing our ministerial search team. And of course, our Rev. George is on the scene to anchor the prayer circle, the men's group, and to oversee our building's needs. Because so many volunteers are covering so many bases, there will be no new programs...classes and activities...offered during the summer. The board appreciates your cooperation and patience.
BUILDING KEYS, PLEASE - We are doing an inventory of building keys. If you have a key to the building, please let Stacey Reichardt know, 307-331-1951. If you have one and no longer have need of it, please turn it in to Stacey.
PRAYER FOR OUR NEW MINISTER (June 14th will be Rev Donna's last Sunday)
With gentle grace, Divine Love continues to bring us through our time of transition, helping us to maintain our health, happiness and wholeness, and to celebrate our identity as Unity in the Valley.
We are illuminated by the light of God.
We now cast the beacon of that light out across the nation: it calls forth our new minister who is waiting to come to us with grace and ease.
We are patient and we trust that in Divine Order, all will continue to unfold for the good.
And so it is, so it truly is in the nature of the Christ,
AMEN.
