"It's a whole new life. It's like a second, literally like a second life." πŸ’›

Lisa never imagined she'd end up leading the same Restoration meetings that once supported her recovery. Now, 13 years sober and a Harbor Light graduate, she's helping others find hope on their own journey. ✨

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, share this story and contact your local Salvation Army to learn more about recovery support in your community.

When Briana first started volunteering, she was looking for a way to give back to her community.

What she didn't expect was how much she would gain in return. ❀️

Over the past three years, volunteering has helped her step outside her comfort zone, connect with others, and find her voice. From helping families through the food pantry to supporting neighbors in need, Briana has discovered the power of community and her place within it.

Check out this calendar πŸ—“οΈ to see when and where the food distributions are in Saginaw County this week.

Big thank you to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and their many community partners like Radiant Church of God, Faith Lutheran Church, Old Town Christian Outreach, East Side Soup Kitchen and many others for helping keep our community fed!

If you are in need of assistance, please dial 2-1-1 to be connected to 211 Northeast Michigan, our community resource line.

If you’re able, please consider donating at https://bit.ly/NourishmentForNeighbors. All funds stay local by helping to stock local pantries, fill emergency food boxes and work to ensure that no neighbor is left hungry. ❀️
