SHARE AND HELP US SPREAD THE WORD! Peace Lutheran Ministries invites you to a special evening of music and poetry with a message of hope by author and spoken word poet Tanner Olson, along with singer-songwriter Matt Doering, at 6:30pm Thursday, Nov. 12, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave. in Saginaw.

Called “The Slow Down,” the event is a night of poetry, music and meaning – an intentional pause in a world that rarely stops. Led by Olson and Doering, this event invites you to breathe deep, reflect honestly and reconnect with what matters most. Through heartfelt lyrics, honest storytelling and a little humor, you'll be reminded that you're not alone and that hope is still here.

Olson speaks at youth gatherings and tours the country with different singer-songwriters, exploring the joys and challenges of everyday life, and offering encouragement and hope through faith. His work gives voice to experiences of grief, uncertainty, love and the ordinary moments that make life meaningful, reminding audiences of God’s presence and love through it all.

The Slowdown is recommended for guests 10 and older. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be taken. Bring a friend and come experience the gift of faith expressed through poetry and storytelling!

Dads came together for the PTL’s monthly Dads at the Doors initiative Oct. 21, 2026, at Peace Lutheran School in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a school-based initiative where fathers, grandfathers, father figures or other male role models greet students at the school entrance on specific days to offer encouragement, high-fives and a positive start to the day. These programs aim to increase father involvement in schools, provide positive male role models, create a supportive community, and improve student motivation and well-being.

During a recent Peace Junior High Youth Group Bible study, participants were taught by one of their own. Peace seventh-grader Camden Ader led the study on heavenly hosts. “He wrote it all himself and prepared it, and the rest of the kids loved it!” said Peace Youth Director Leslie Hansen. Way to go, Camden!

With over 50 trunks registered for Thursday’s Community Trunk or Treat, our parking lot is now at capacity for trunk registrations. A huge thank you to all who have signed up to host a trunk or volunteer in other ways. This is a huge event and opportunity to show the love of Jesus to children and families throughout our community!

Everyone else: Please bring your costumed kids, family and friends for a night of sweet fun at the Peace Community Trunk or Treat, 6pm this Thursday, Oct. 29, at Peace Lutheran School & Early Childhood Center, 3161 Lawndale Road in Saginaw Township. The fun will keep going until our last trick-or-treater in line makes his or her way through! No one will be turned away. Please remember: No pets. We look forward to seeing you Thursday!

The deadline to order for the annual Peace Apple Pie Sale is this Friday, Oct. 30. Order now and pay when you pick up your pies, crisps and/or crusts Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11am-1:30pm at the main entrance of Peace Lutheran Church (Adams Campus), 3427 Adams Ave., Saginaw.

The Peace Lutheran School PTL is now accepting orders for delicious 10" apple pies. The pies are ready to bake, or may be frozen for up to one year. TODAY’S THE DAY!

After qualifying for the 16th National Lutheran Cross Country Championships, Christian has traveled to Wisconsin to compete against runners from across the country!

We’re proud of Christian and will be praying for him as he races. May he give his absolute best and ultimately bring glory to God through his efforts!

These days, there’s a day for everything. Today that day was National Crocs Day! Students and staff throughout Peace Lutheran School & Early Childhood Center donned the beloved footwear in celebration.

AND … HE’S OFF! All students at Peace Lutheran School lined the walkways to cheer on eighth-grader Christian Boehm this morning as he left for the 16th National Lutheran Cross Country Championships at Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday. Students clapped, cheered and joined their hearts in prayer for safe travels for the Boehm family. We are so proud of you, Christian!
