Director of Children’s Ministries
Job Description

The Director of Children’s Ministries shall play an integral role in the planning, coordinating and leading of children’s ministries at New Life Covenant Church. Under the guidance of the pastor, and in cooperation with the Christian Education Committee, this position will carry out their duties. This position requires a person that has a passion for the growth and spiritual development of children. They must have demonstratable leadership gifting and be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Key Tasks/jobs:

• This position reports to the Pastor and the Christian Education Chair
• Meet with the Christian Education Committee to gather feedback, develop vision and implement said vision for children’s ministry
• Plan, coordinate and direct Sunday morning children’s education
• Recruit, train and develop a volunteer team
• Develop, purchase and maintain our Children’s Ministry curriculum and equipment
• Oversee the care and maintenance of classrooms and nursery
• Annual review with Pastoral Relations Committee
• This is a non-benefited, part-time position
• Hourly pay of $18.80-25.80/hr, based on experience
• 6-12 hours per week (capped at 12)
