Saginaw Wesleyan Church wants to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Pastor Wade! The process to being ordained is rigorous and takes a lot of dedication. We're grateful that he's continuing his calling here at SWC! And thank you to Denise for standing by his side as he does so.

Last week Pastor Wade encouraged us all to be journalling by providing us a journal to start. He wants us to be bringing them to church on Sundays to take sermon notes, but to also be using them throughout the week during our time with God.

One thing I wrote down from last week that's stuck with me is Spiritual Formation ≠ Self Improvement. Spiritual Formation is Christ being formed in us, that doesn't equate to being more physically fit, or being able to get that next project accomplished on time, or following a strict budget and building your savings. But it does mean continuing to align your heart with the heart of God.

Saginaw Wesleyan's first softball game of the season was an amazing win! With a final score of 17 - 9!

Our opponents were His House, a Christian church to the campus of SVSU and Delta College.

Our team shines with people of all skill levels. For some of our players it was their very first time playing softball. And some of our players have been playing for many years. The atmosphere was one of fun and fellowship, so everyone was comfortable playing. The hits and runs came from players throughout the lineup, it was a true team effort!

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch and cheer the team on. They team appreciated the support!

Next game is Monday, June 8th, at 7:30 pm.
