**NEW FREE BOOK FOR PARENTS**

📚At our Family Luncheon this past Sunday we gave away a new book, "Good News for Parents" by Adam Griffin. If you didn't get a copy, there are still books available at The Explorers Club check-in station in the Fellowship Hall every Wednesday night. Bring your kids to Explorers Club and grab this free book (and other free resources)!

We had a fun time at our Father/Son Campout last night behind the church! We enjoyed hotdogs and s’mores, flag football, sleeping under the stars, and even witnessing an unexpected rocket launch! It was perfect weather to be outdoors for a night.

Only a few days until Promotion Sunday and our Parent's Lunch following the Worship Service on August 13! Our kids will be moving up to their new classes during the Bible for Life hour at 9:30 AM (don't forget that breakfast is offered at 9:00), and we will be resuming both Preschool Worship & Elementary Worship!

There’s no better way to beat the heat than to spend a day in the water at the church! Our families had lots of fun at our last big event of the summer. It's time to kick off a new year in Fellowship Kids with Promotion Sunday! Come a little early this Sunday morning to meet your kid's teachers, talk to Pastor Drew, and pick up material for the new year. Light refreshments will be provided. Promotion Sunday will kickoff at 9:00 AM in the Children's Wing (upstairs in the Worship Center).

In Joshua 3-4, we read how God stopped the waters of the Jordan River in order that the Israelites could cross over, and how He commanded Joshua to have twelve men carry twelve stones out of the river to set up as a memorial at the place they camped that night. The stones were a way for the Israelites to help their children remember God.
