We are excited to celebrate 100 years of ministry in 2022, and for most of those years, we have been known as "the friendly little church on the corner." Sunday worship is a blended service (some traditional, some contemporary) at 11:00 am. The first Presbyterian is a P.C.U.S.A church with deep roots in Safety Harbor. In 1918, a group of 10 Presbyterian women sat around a table with an idea for a
Presbyterian church in Downtown Safety Harbor. We were officially chartered in April 1922 and then again in 2010 when First Presbyterian Safety Harbor was resurrected to celebrate its original values. We are a church that celebrates diverse and inclusive beliefs, and everyone is always welcome. We engage in mission by partnering with the Celebrate Recovery and Neighborly Meals on Wheels. We enjoy building relationships within our community by taking care of our neighbors and each other. We enjoy sharing our joys and concerns during and after worship and at Third Sunday Potluck lunch. In Sunday worship and Wednesday Bag Lunch and Learn, we enjoy learning to apply the Word of God in our daily lives. We also enjoy sharing our space with the community, including several recovery support groups, including AA, NA, and Al-Anon. We also like to have fun, whether it's participating in city events such as 3rd Fridays, Safety Harbor parades, or our annual Pet Blessing. We strive to provide a safe harbor from the storms of life where we anchor our souls in the harbor of God's love.. We invite you to visit and check us out!
