☘️Saint Patrick- Apostle of Ireland☘️
"Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me."

Today, we celebrate Saint Patrick, the beloved patron saint of Ireland! He spread Christianity across the land and used the shamrock ☘️ to teach the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

Today, we also remember ✝️ Monsignor Edward Kavanagh, a native of Ireland 🇮🇪 who served the Sacramento community for nearly 60 years here at St. Rose Parish. His dedication to the poor, children, and this community left an indelible mark on our community. - scd.org

✝️ Monsignor Kavanagh passed away on St. Patrick's Day ☘️ in 2018 at the age of 93, a fitting tribute to his Irish 🇮🇪 heritage and unwavering faith.

🌟Reflexión corta:
En la Transfiguración, Dios nos recuerda que Jesús es su Hijo amado y que debemos escucharlo. A veces queremos quedarnos en los momentos de gloria. pero Jesús nos invita a seguir adelante con fe. Que su luz transforme nuestros corazón. ✨️💜🙏🏼

🌟Short Reflection:
In the Transfiguration, God reminds us that Jesus is His beloved Son and that we must listen to Him.

✨️Evangelio según San Lucas 4, 1-13

📖 En aquel tiempo, Jesus, leno del Espiritu Santo, regreso del Jordan y conducido por el mismo
Espiritu, se internó en el desierto, donde permaneció durante cuarenta dias y fue tentado por el demonio.

No comio nada en aquellos dias, y cuando se completaron, sintio hambre Entonces el diablo le dijo: "Seres el Hijo de Dios dile a esta piedra que se convierta en pan". Jesus le contestó: "Está escrito: No sóla de pan vive el hombre."

Despues lo llevo el diablo a un monte elevado y en un instante le hizo ver todos los reinos de la tierra y le dijo: "A mime ha sido entregado todo el podery la gloria de estos reinos, yyo Ios doy a quien quiero. Todo esto sera tuyo, si te arrodillas y me adoras'. Jesus le respondio: "Esta escrito: Adoraras al Señor, tu Dios, y a e| solo serviras"

Entonces lo llevo a Jerusalen , lo puso en la parte mas alta del templo y le dijo: "Si eres el Hijo de Dios
arrojate desde aqui porque esta escrito: Los angeles del Señor tienen ordenes de cuidarte y de sostenerte en sus manos, para que tus pies no tropiecen con las piedras" Pero Jesus le respondioó: "Tambien esta escrito: No tentaras al Señor, tu Dios"

Concluidas las tentaciones, |el diablo se retiró de el, hasta que llegara la hora

🙏🏼✝️Reflexión:

El desierto simboliza nuestro propio camino de lucha y conversión. Jesús nos enseñia que la tentación es parte de la vida, pero también cómo vencerla: con la Palabra de Dios y confianza en el Padre.

En esta Cuaresma, dejemos que el Espiritu nos guie, fortaleciendo nuestra fe a través de la oración, el
ayuno y la caridad. iQué tentaciones necesitas vencer en este tiempo?💜🙏🏼

Jesus teaches us the importance of self-awareness and sincerity in our relationships with others. 🌿

Gospel. Luke 6:39-45
Jesus told his disciples a parable,
“Can a blind person guide a blind person?
Will not both fall into a pit?
No disciple is superior to the teacher;
but when fully trained,
every disciple will be like his teacher.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother,
‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’
when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly
to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.

“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit,
nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit.
For every tree is known by its own fruit.
For people do not pick figs from thornbushes,
nor do they gather grapes from brambles.
A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good,
but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil;
for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.”

✨ Reflection: How can we be better at looking inward and working on our own hearts? What fruit are we bearing? 🍇
