This Sunday, plan to stop by the new prayer room to pray for Adventure's missionaries and the persecuted church.

Join your fellow Adventurers, alongside Adventure Global Missions leaders for a special time of prayer and intercession directly following 1st service.

**Please note that the prayer room has moved! It is now located in the former tower room which is located right past the curtain in the Worship Center.**

Though Adventure recently ended its support of Sonlight, many will remember the extraordinary impact that Norma Alexander had coordinating the daily needs of life at Sonlight. She was a tremendous witness for Christ and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Please be praying for our sovereign Lord’s lead for the nation of Haiti and for former President Jovenal’s surviving family members.

We are saddened to hear that Haiti’s president, Jovenel Moïse, a Port-de-Paix native, was assasinated in his home early this morning. His wife was also wounded, and we are praying for their children and family. We ask you to pray as well for stability for the nation of Haiti as leaders call for peace and determine next steps.

We’re hoping we can join together in person soon for our monthly prayer gathering, but until such time, please be praying for our mission partners in Zimbabwe, Mexico, and India. We are one part of the body of Christ and many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are experiencing tremendous grief along with the hope and joy of serving the Lord. This month, let’s boldly come before the throne of grace on behalf of these mission partners.

Here’s how you are helping support students in Haiti and giving them hope for their futures. Thank you Adventure family and congratulations, Sonlight graduates! ❤️

Reste avec means "to stay with" in French. In Haiti it has a sadder meaning. A "restavek"is a child who is sent to a host home, where he will work in order to be fed. Restavek slavery is said to affect 1 in 15 children here.

Christiana, a senior, gave a speech today of a child slave in Haiti. The writer, Jean Robert Cadet, was finally able to go to school, work his way through college, earn his master's in French literature, and become a teacher.

Hearing the story from the mouth of this young Haitian student was moving. She, like many others here, have overcome obstacles to reach where she is today, including the recent loss of her father. She will graduate in exactly one week. We are proud of her and others in this 2021 senior class.

"But God has put the body together...so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it...Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." (I Corinthians 12:24-27)

Fellow Adventurers, let us remember our brothers and sisters in Christ in India. India Mission writes that there is great suffering among the nation, but by God's grace many of the church body are faring as well as can be and continuing to do the work God has called them to do in sharing the Gospel message of salvation through Christ alone.

Please be praying for the church body to be healthy and well both in spirit and in body so that those who are perishing daily might have the hope that is in you! There are millions of people in India who still have not received Christ as Lord and Savior. Let us be praying that the lost will have their hearts opened through God's great mercy and grace and that they will receive faith in Jesus Christ and the promise of eternity.

Thank you fellow Adventurers for your prayers on behalf of Kathy McCarty and for Major Mereki to obtain a visa to visit. Major was granted a visa on April 14 and was scheduled to arrive in California on April 22. Please continue to pray for Kathy and for the transition that Major and the entire staff at Chidamoyo Christian Hospital will be making.

If we call ourselves Christians, Disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to share the gospel and go make disciples. This can seem like a daunting task and we sometimes may not even know where to begin.

Join us on Friday May 14th at 6:30pm in the Hospitality Room where we will engage with DJ and Anelissa West on the “who, what, where, why, and how” of Jesus’ great commission and how we can reach a world lost and hurting even in our own community. Bring yourself, your family, a friend, and the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. Click on the link to register for this event because you won't want to miss this!

What a great picture of brothers in Christ passing on the mantle of leadership! Please be lifting the Wheat family up in prayer as they transition to leading WISE into the future and also the Wurdeman family as they head back to the US to train up future missionaries.

Passing on the torch. Looking forward to seeing what God will do as a new chapter starts.
