Sacramento Dharma Center Over 6 years ago people from several of these groups began to discuss the benefits of sharing a dedicated sanctuary and meeting space.

The Sacramento area has a vibrant, active and growing community of meditation groups based on various schools of Buddhist philosophy and teachings. Out of

these discussions Sacramento Dharma Center was born, a new nonprofit for the purpose of creating, maintaining, and managing a building dedicated to meditation and Buddhist study. In October of 2016 the dream was manifest and the three groups, Sacramento Buddhist Meditation Group (SBMG), Valley Streams Zen Sangha (VSZS) and Sacramento Insight Meditation (SIM), have have moved into their new home at 3111 Wissemann Drive.
