This week’s Bible story came from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. One day people brought children to Jesus, hoping Jesus would bless them. When the disciples tried to keep the children away, Jesus rebuked them. Jesus told everyone there that the kingdom of God belongs to children. Preschoolers can know that Jesus welcomed the children in the Bible story, and He welcomes them, too, because He made them with worth. Ask your preschoolers to share with you a toy or possession that they value and that is important to them. Share that your preschoolers that God values them very much because He made them with worth and value!

This September kids will learn the Simple Truth “I Am Valued,” through the superstar Theme VIP. We will teach kids that they are valued by God because God made them with worth, seeks them, made them on purpose, and sent Jesus for them. See you soon!

Our September preschool Big Deal is, “Wild and Wonderful! God Values Me!” Preschoolers will have a fun adventure as they learn about the unique and special ways God created them and how much He values them. We will teach that God made us with worth, He celebrates us, He made us on purpose, and He sent Jesus for us. We hope to see you soon!

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them: Describe a family member or a friend. List things that make this person special and invite your child to guess who you are talking about. Say, “Great job guessing things about ____! You guessed correctly because you know them. God wants you to know Him too! What are different things you know about God?”

Our Game Changer Bible story from Psalm 139 taught kids that God leads us to true identity. A king named David wrote that God knows everything about us because He made us. God leads us to true identity because He knows who we are and who we are meant to be. At mealtimes this week, talk about all the different things that make members of your family special. Remind family members that God knows them and leads them to be who He made them to be.

This week we celebrated Hooray Day, a special day where we celebrate God! This Hooray Day was a big celebration because we learned that David understood that God knew everything about him. God even knew the words David would speak. God knows everything about us too! God leads us to know Him because He loves us. At mealtimes this week, talk about the different things that make members of your family special. Remind family members that God knows everything about them.

Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:

1. Thank God that He designed you for a purpose.
2. Ask God to help you live, serve, trust, and love like Jesus.
3. Pray for each other to live out the purpose God has for you.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that they would know the incredible purpose God has for their lives and how much He loves them.

3. Pray for those for whom it may be hard to show Jesus’ love. Pray that you can share His love with them.
