I’m reading my third book in a row on revival. This book covers the last 500 years of revivals world wide.

In 2006, Nathan Morris was baptised in the ‘Holy Spirit and with fire’ (see Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16 and Acts 1:8).14 Morris said, “The fire of God [the experience] is to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel.” In relation to the experience of how God met with him, he said, “Hunger can drive you to a place where others will not go.” “Hunger will drive you to a place where God can do a work in your life.” It enables you to, “Weep the tears, pray the prayer and get on their knees.”

Are you praying 'if it's your will' for salvation? The Bible states God's will IS for all to be saved. It's time to pray with the confidence of His expressed will, calling down His spirit and drawing loved ones to Him.

Why is faith seemingly losing its impact? Because the spiritual 'salt' is no longer used for preservation, but for flavor. It's meant to protect righteousness, not just enhance personal lives. The city of Magdala, once a source of preserving salt, reminds us of its vital role.

“The Lord will visit those willing to yield to Him.”

And the same is true today of the Pentecostal people. Their ultimate failure or success for God will be realized just at this point. We must keep humble and little in our own eyes. Let us get built up by a sense of our own importance and we are gone. History repeats itself in this connection. God has always sought a humble people. He can use no other. Martin Luther, the great reformer, wrote: “When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ says repent, he means that the whole life of believers on earth should be a constant and perpetual repentance. Repentance and sorrow - i. e. true repentance - endure as long as a man is displeased with himself - that is, until he passes from this life into eternity. The desire of self-justification is the cause of all the distresses of the heart.” There is much need always of heart preparation, in humility and separation, before God can consistently come. The depth of any revival will be determined exactly by the spirit of repentance that obtains. In fact this is the key to every true revival born of God.”

Life throws unfair circumstances our way, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But even when you don't understand, faith is your strength. If you're feeling down, remember that God's message is for you today. You will get up, you will be encouraged, and you will have the strength to face the day.

God's sovereignty and holiness mean He's already given us the ultimate blessing: salvation through Jesus Christ. Are we looking for more blessings, or are we blessing Him with our praise, worship, fellowship, and lifestyle? The ones who bless God don't seek blessings; they offer them. Prepare for a message that will either nourish you or offend you. He is coming back.
