Homecoming Sunday 🍂

One of our favorite Sundays of the year is almost here. We return together as a full community, choir back in the chancel, students and teachers receiving a blessing for the year ahead, and new life welcomed through baptism. 🤍

And when worship ends, we gather on the green for a picnic, because the goodness of summer deserves one last table before fall begins. ✨

All are welcome. We'd love to see you there.

Will You Hold Fast? 🤍

When struggle comes, the question isn't whether we still have faith. The question is whether we'll continue to hold on.

Father Tommy drew us toward two unlikely figures this Sunday. Jacob, wounded but refusing to let go, and our Canaanite sister, ignored and dismissed, yet never leaving. Both show us what second faith looks like: not the faith of easy mornings, but the faith that perseveres when God feels silent. ✨

What would it look like to keep reaching toward God, even when you don't understand?

Choral Evensong with the CCRye Choristers 🎶

For centuries, English churches have gathered at day's end to sing Evensong, one of the oldest and most beautiful forms of worship in our tradition. On Friday, August 28th at 5pm, our Choristers offer it as one of the highlights of our Choir Summer Camp.

Fr. Tommy Watson will preside, bringing his background as a professional classical singer to a service where music carries the prayer. Fr. Matt Stone will offer a short children's homily, and Dr. Evelyn DeGraf will lead our young voices in what they have built all week. Come hear them sing, and let music and prayer do their healing work at the close of day. ✨

All are welcome.

The Stuff Legends Are Made Of ✨

Joseph had a gift, but no instruction manual. And like most of us, he had to learn the hard way that a gift used for yourself tends to backfire. Used for others? It multiplies. 🤍

The story of Joseph isn't about someone extraordinary. It's about someone made of the same ordinary material as the rest of us, which means the same potential lives in each of us too.

What would change if you used your gifts less for yourself, and more for others?
