Our annual St. Francis Blessing of the Animals service was a great success! We blessed dogs (lots of dogs), birds, stuffed animals and pictures of animals- and we celebrated Fr. Matt's 1st anniversary as our Rector :)

Upstairs and Downstairs 🤍

Every Sunday, we gather to sing, to hear ancient words, to break bread and to proclaim that God delivers, forgives, raises, and restores. And in church basements all over the world, people sit in folding chairs and say: I can't do this alone.

Father Matt asked us this Sunday whether those two things are really so different. Upstairs, we proclaim the miracle. Downstairs, people practice making room for it. ✨

The church needs both. And maybe, so do we.

To Stay Is Also an Act of Love 🤍

Paul knew something better waited for him, and yet he chose to remain. Not out of fear, but out of love. He looked at the people around him and decided that his presence, his labor, his life still had work to do. ✨

Father Tommy reminded us this Sunday that sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is not the grand or the glorious, it's simply choosing to show up for one another, again and again.

Who are you staying for?
