St. Clare of Assisi prayed for a lively faith, a firm hope, and perfect love.

I pray, most gentle Jesus, deliver me from all evils, past, present, and to come. Give me a lively faith, a firm hope, and perfect charity, so that I may love You with all my heart, and all my soul, and all my strength. Make me steadfast in good works and grant me perseverance in Your service, so that I may please You always. Amen.

Which do you need more of today?

Lord, make us good and faithful servants with the gifts You have given.

Loving God, give us the strength and courage today and always to be Your good and faithful servants. Grace us with the wisdom and spirit to use the gifts and talents You have entrusted us with to bring about Your presence in everything we do and to everyone we meet. Help us to be faithful servants of Your joy, mercy and love this day and always. Amen.

How will you use your gifts today?

A prayer once written by Jane Austen: that our hearts, not just our lips, would pray.

Almighty God, give us grace to address You with all our hearts as well as with our lips. You are present everywhere; from You no secrets can be hidden. Teach us to fix our thoughts on You, reverently and with love, so that our prayers are not in vain but are acceptable to You, now and always. Amen.

Slow down and mean every word today.

Pope Francis offers us a simple morning gift: this whole day, placed in God's care.

I thank You, Lord, for Your past blessings. Today I offer myself - whatever I do, say, or think - to Your loving care. Continue to bless me, Lord, and all I meet this day; especially those who are ill and those who most need prayer. This I ask with the prayer of Mary, and through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Offer your day with us.

Today the Passionists honor St. Paul of the Cross, our founder, who kept the Passion of Jesus ever in his heart.

Saint Paul of the Cross, God drew you to the heights of contemplation and taught you the deepest truths within the depths of your soul. You then shared the good fruits of your contemplation with the world. Please pray for me, that I will continuously seek to deepen my faith by deepening my prayer and penance, never shying away from the most glorious Gift of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Saint Paul of the Cross, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.

May the Passion of Christ be always in our hearts.

We remember the North American Martyrs, who gave everything so the faith could take root here.

O God, who by the preaching of and blood of Your sainted Martyrs, Isaac and John and their companions, did consecrate the first fruits of the Faith in the vast regions of North America, graciously grant that, by their intercession, the flourishing harvest of Christians may everywhere and always be increased. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You, in the union of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and forever. Amen.

Pray for a deeper faith with us today.

St. Luke, physician and evangelist, showed us the tender, healing heart of Jesus.

Almighty God, You inspired Your servant St. Luke the Evangelist and Physician to set forth in the gospel the love and the healing power of Your Son. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, he also showed the divinity of Jesus and His genuine compassion for all human beings. May St. Luke intercede for us that we may deepen our understanding of the gospel and grow in compassion of Jesus. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Where do you need His healing today?
