Graduation season is officially here, and we are pausing to say: Well done. 🎓✨ Moving into a new chapter is exciting, but it also comes with a lot of shifts.
Here are 3 ways mentors help youth navigate big transitions smoothly:
1️⃣ Planning: Mapping out the next steps so the future feels exciting, not scary.
2️⃣ Encouragement: Being the loud cheerleader every student deserves in their corner.
3️⃣ Accountability: Providing a safe space to stay on track with personal goals.
We are so incredibly proud of our mentees and every student pushing through to the finish line this month!

Happy Friday! As we close out the month, here is another scripture devotionals from one of our Board of Directors, Claire Falcone.

How do we deal with the issue of loneliness well? Most, if not all of us struggle at some point in our lives with loneliness. We see even biblical figures like David write about his struggle. And he is met graciously by our Heavenly Father. We have a God who is near to the brokenhearted. In addition to God’s presence, He has also provided us with community for our encouragement. We are urged to seek out friendships and good community with people who will walk along side us. Another way to find such community is through mentorship.

Resilience isn't about never falling down; it’s about having the right tools to get back up. In our mentoring sessions, we don’t just talk about "staying positive"—we practice the specific skills youth need to navigate stress, setbacks, and big emotions.

The 5-Step Reset:

1️⃣ Name It: Identify the feeling to take away its power.
2️⃣ Breathe: Use a simple box-breath to reset the nervous system.

5️⃣ Reflect: Look back at what you handled to remember your own strength.
