Registration for our 5th Anniversary luncheon for the Presbytery of Northeast New Jersey is on November 7th is ending this week and I need your help. I'm afraid not everyone has seen the emails or read the newsletter announcements. Please let your elders, deacons, trustees, and members of your congregation know about this opportunity to gather with others from around the presbytery.

Why take a Saturday afternoon to enjoy other Presbyterians? Just this weekend I attended a celebration with one of our congregations and sat next to someone I didn't know. It turns out he is connected to a Presbyterian school in Cameroon. On my other side, I spoke to another person who updated me on the church's food pantry which has tripled the amount of people it serves in the last two years (600 families per week).

The reason we are hosting this celebration is to help connect pastors, leaders, and congregations to one another and celebrate our common mission and ministry. It's one thing to call ourselves a connectional church, it is another thing to develop and grow those connections. And there is no better way to do that than sitting down and breaking bread together.

The cost of the luncheon is $25 per person and we want everyone who wants to attend to be able to make it, regardless of finances. If ticket cost is a barrier for you, please contact me at [email protected].
