Yesterday was Pastor Lauren DeLano Grosskopf’s last time with More Than Manna for a while. Pastor Lauren has been involved with More Than Manna for three years and has served as Staff Liaison to volunteers for the last two years.
She said “It was a gift to support this ministry and to meet so many kind and gracious people. The kitchen crew (the weekly volunteers) are compassionate and have a heart for serving people. The guests at MTM have formed a beautiful community where they pray for one another and care for one another.
As I leave Russellville First and MTM, I will miss the welcoming feeling on Sunday evenings. Everyone is welcome to gather, to share their joys and concerns, to receive communion. The table is wide and the laughter and joy is expansive. I’ll miss Terry playing the piano and the earnestness of those who come to receive communion each week. Most of all I’ll miss the hugs. If you need a reminder that you are loved, stop by MTM one Sunday night and you will leave filled to the brim with love.”
We will miss Pastor Lauren very much and we wish her, her family, and her new community and congregation the best. Thank you, Pastor Lauren!

Meet Suzanne Gray. Suzanne is a member of our “Kitchen Crew,” the volunteers and staff who are at More than Manna every Sunday to assist volunteer groups or to prep and serve when no group is scheduled. Suzanne says she continues to serve with More than Manna because “Working with More than Manna feeds more than people — it feeds something in me too. The people I’ve met there have changed me, and in many ways it feels like my soul is more complete because of them.” We are blessed to have Suzanne with us. Thank you, Suzanne!

Tonight we celebrated Ian as he prepares to graduate from RHS this month and pursue a Music Ed degree at UCA. Ian started volunteering with us last year and continued volunteering this year even though he had met the hours required for graduation. We have been blessed by his love of others, his heart for service, and his wonderful musical talents. We wish him the absolute best in all his future endeavors. Congratulations, Ian!
