Reed Cemetery Association Memorial Celebration

The grantees of Reed Cemetery Association are reaching out to all African American veterans to participate in our first annual African American Armed Services Memorial Day Service.

The event will take place on Monday, May 25th at 10:30 a.m. at Reed Cemetery on West 12th Street in Russellville. During the event, past military servicemen and servicewomen will be honored with a roll call as a flag is raised in their honor, along with words of remembrance and appreciation

The Reed Cemetery Association is also reaching out to living armed forces members who have served in any branch of the United States military. Those members will be also be recognized in a special roll call and will receive a certificate of appreciation.

The registration deadline for current veterans to attend the ceremony and receive recognition is Friday, May 15th. For more information contact Jerry Linton at 479-970-6017.
