It was a great day of teamwork at the Lake Hills Hope Closet on Thursday! These ladies rolled up their sleeves, came ready to lend a hand, and together we tackled the to-do list. Who says volunteering can’t be fun? Put this crew together and you’re guaranteed two things—a lot gets accomplished and there’s plenty of laughter.

The racks are stocked, donations are sorted, everything is organized, and we are ready to continue serving those in need!

A big thank you to the ladies who volunteered on Thursday and to all of our volunteers who have given their time throughout the year. We appreciate each and every one of you!

If you or someone you know is in need of clothing assistance, please contact us through Facebook Messenger. Leave us a message, and one of our volunteers will get back in touch with you.

Thank you!

As a new school year begins, the Lake Hills Hope Closet sends our best wishes and prayers to the students, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, school staff, and families throughout our community.

We pray for safe travels and safe schools, a year filled with learning and growth, new friendships and kind hearts, and for every student to feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged.

Lord, place your hand of protection over our schools and everyone who enters their doors. Bless our students as they learn and grow, and bless our teachers and staff as they teach, encourage, guide, and care for each child. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

It has been a privilege for The Lake Hills Hope Closet to help provide clothing for children in our community as they prepare for a new school year. Our hope is that each child begins the year feeling confident, comfortable, included and ready to learn.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and blessed school year!

What a wonderful month July has been at The Lake Hills Hope Closet! Terry and I, along with Lake Hills Church, would like to thank everyone who donated clothing to The Hope Closet outreach ministry. Because of your generous donations, 14 families and 47 children had their back-to-school clothing needs met during the month of July.

These past several weeks have been especially busy, and we are grateful for every opportunity to be a blessing to local families.

The Hope Closet will be closed for a short time for reorganization, restocking inventory, and to make preparations for its next season of serving our community.

Thank you again for partnering with us in this outreach ministry and for helping us share the love of Christ in tangible ways. Your generosity is making a difference in the lives of local families.

It has been a privilege to serve our community.

Today marks five years since The Hope Closet began, and our hearts are filled with gratitude as we look back on all that God has done through this ministry.

To our home church, Lake Hills Church, thank you for believing in the vision of The Hope Closet from the very beginning. To every volunteer who gave your time, every donor who gave so generously, every organization that partnered with us, and every individual who joined us in serving our community—thank you. Your kindness made it possible to reach hundreds of families throughout our community and beyond. Every bag of clothing, every pair of shoes, every coat, every hug, every prayer, and every act of compassion reminded someone they were seen, valued, and cared for.

To our clothing recipients, thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving you. It has been an honor to walk alongside you during seasons of need.

These past five years have been about so much more than clothing. They have been about people. They have been about hope, compassion, dignity, and a community coming together to care for one another. I have witnessed incredible generosity and seen firsthand what happens when people choose to love and serve others.

As we celebrate this five-year milestone, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness for every person who gave, volunteered, prayed, encouraged, and believed in this ministry. Because of you, hundreds of families were blessed, and countless lives—including my own—have been touched.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Today we celebrate not just five years of a ministry, but five years of lives touched, hope shared, and a community that came together to love people well. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey and for helping make The Hope Closet a place where compassion was put into action.

Thank you, ladies for coming together Friday to volunteer your time to sort, organize, and restock the Hope Closet. From unloading and sizing to folding and preparing everything for families it takes a village. I’m so thankful for each of you (and those we missed). It’s always such an honor working alongside each of you, and we always have the best time together getting it all done.

Thank you to Liz Findley and my husband Terry Freeman (not pictured) for helping set up the day before and Liz for jumping right back in to help again on Friday.

Thank you to our community for your generous donations. Because of you, we’re able to meet real needs in a tangible way.

We’re ready for families and their spring and summer clothing needs. If you or someone you know could use assistance, please send a message to the Hope Closet page.

The back of Terry’s truck is a beautiful reminder of generosity from our community. We are so blessed to live in a community that shows up, gives freely, and cares for one another.

It’s filled with clothes, shoes, and backpacks, all donated to the Lake Hills Hope Closet through the kindness of Rhea Lana’s of Russellville and their generous consignors who donate their unsold items.

A special thank you to my husband, Terry Freeman, and our wonderful Hope Closet volunteers and friends, Diana Roesler, Holly Alford, and Lyn Farmer for your help.

Thank you also to Crystal Willbanks for coordinating and lining everything up. We appreciate you.

Serving alongside volunteers who are friends and feel like family is a blessing. It’s love in action, and we always have a fun time serving together.

We’ve received sizes ranging from infant to pr***en. If you or someone you know could use clothing assistance, please message us on the Lake Hills Hope Closet page.
