Couldn't find this picture earlier for the last post about our church memories so far in 2026, but these people deserve a post all their own anyway. This was senior adult Sunday in May. We are missing several from the picture, but we love them and appreciate all they do for our church.

A look back on the first half of our 2026 church year. ✝️

We lost one of our precious church members this week. A true saint of God. She will be greatly missed. ✝️ Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15. Please keep her family in your prayers. 🙏

Muriel Louise Woodruff, age 86, of Russellville, died peacefully Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at her residence.

Louise loved gospel music and to play the piano at her church for many years. She loved her family and made sure they knew it. She kept candy for anyone who walked in her door. Louise was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby G. Woodruff Sr, grandson, Mason Vandiver, parents, Wade and Beatrice Richardson brother-in-law, Granville Woodruff.

Lousie leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Sharon Kennedy (James), Karen Mansell (Rickey), Melisa Vandiver (Tim), Teresa Pearce (Tracy), and Bobby G. Woodruff, Jr., grandchildren, Jamey Kennedy (Amber), Kristen Mason (Michael), Dylan Mansell, Taylor Yelton (Austin), Cameron Vandiver, and Macey Vandiver, great grandchildren, Madden Mason and Lakely Mason, brother, Anderson Richardson (Pat), in-laws, Morris Woodruff (Linda) and Mary Woodruff. And a host of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and service will be 2: 00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Kent Walker. The Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens. The pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama for all their care for Mrs. Louise.

We had a great VBS this week! Thanks to everyone for working so hard to make this happen! We pray these children always remember that Jesus is their light in this dark world!✝️

Join us this week for VBS! Illumination Station. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights! We will not meet on Tuesday due to a conflict.(June 14,15,17,18) 6:00-8:00. Come join the fun as we Shine the Light on who Jesus really is!✝️
