Bible Baptist Church of Russellville, Arkansas is happy to announce that in a special business meeting held Sunday March 22, 2026, the church voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Javier L. Taylor as the Senior Pastor for Bible Baptist Church. Javier heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and was born-again through the ministry of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1975. Javier married Crystal Lewis formally of Springdale, Arkansas on September 23, 1989. He served in the Army Reserve from December 23, 1983, until joining the active-duty Air Force in March of 1989. Javier served a total of 16 years combined service. Javier is a 1985 graduate of Farmington High School and a 2018 graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary of Dothan, Alabama. He holds a doctorate of Christian Education as well as undergraduate degrees in Electronic Systems Technology, Biblical studies, and Mathematics. He holds graduate degrees in Education and Applied Statistics. Dr. Taylor currently serves as Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. Dr. Taylor has lived in the River Valley since May 2004 and has served Bible Baptist Church as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and as Associate Pastor. He has authored books on Christian living, and Mathematics education.

Our services are Sunday School 10:00 am, Morning service 11:00 am, with Sunday Evening service at 6:00 pm. Wednesday evening prayer service starts at 6:30 pm.
