Thank you to our volunteers each week that made this project a success. Thank you to the Russells Point PD and Municipalities for allowing us to use their park and storing our equipment. We are working together for a common goal to serve our amazing community!

The Russells Point Police Department would like to express our thanks to the amazing group of volunteers who took time out of their schedules every week this summer to provide a free meal to our community.

Indian Lake Community Church and The Lighthouse received a $4000 grant funded by United Way of Logan County, Ohio to support a free meal program. Picnics in the Park ran for 10 weeks from June-August on Tuesday afternoons at the Russells Point Municipal Building. Meals varied each week from hotdogs to chicken and noodles and many in between. Each week we averaged 70 meals served with heavy weeks bringing over 100 meals served. Volunteers from the church prepared and served each week. We are blessed to have a great community!

Hotdogs & Haircuts 2023 is a wrap! Wow! Today was amazing! 94 haircuts, around 200 hotdog lunches, numerous hygiene items and school supplies! Thank you so much to our generous business sponsors that made this successful and it wouldn’t have been possible without our AMAZING and selfless stylists!

We are in need of immediate donations for our blessing box. The box is emptying quicker than we can fill it and our stock is completely depleted. Any and all donations are a tremendous help in keeping our neighbors fed. Donations can be brought into the church office from 9-1 Monday through Friday or you can stock the box yourself after hours and on weekends. We greatly appreciate your willingness to donate to this cause.

It’s free meal day in the park! 11:30-12:30 at the Russells Point Municipal Building we are serving sloppy joe sandwiches with macaroni and cheese! Come have lunch with us or take it to go!
