Core Biblical Principles for Loving a Husband

Respect as Primary Love: Ephesians 5:33 emphasizes that a wife should respect her husband, which involves valuing his opinion, admiring his character, and appreciating his commitment.

Submit to Leadership: Wives are called to submit to their husbands "as to the Lord," viewing them as the head of the home, similar to the church's relationship with Christ.
Act as a "Helper": Based on Genesis 2:18, a wife is designed to be a suitable helper, supporting her husband in life and purpose.

Show Agape (Self-Sacrificial) Love: Similar to Christ's love for the church, this love is a choice to prioritize the husband's well-being over selfish desires.

Kindness and Character: Titus 2:4-5 instructs women to be self-controlled, pure, kind, and to manage their homes well.

Create a Positive Environment: A wife is encouraged to bring her husband "good, not harm," acting as his peace and comfort, rather than being combative.

Behavior Over Words: 1 Peter 3:1-2 suggests that a husband can be won over by his wife's pure and reverent behavior, even if he is not a believer.

If you can’t agree on something take a break from the discussion for a bit, go pray, wait a few days and then discuss it again and see what comes up, sometimes you won’t always agree completely but you can still work it out and compromise a little here and there.
Just remember you don’t always have to make an immediate decision and it’s best to talk to God about it first!
