We had a good turnout for Sonshiners today! The Puffers were great. The guitar and violin pieces were fantastic!

The next meeting is November 3rd with Doyle Harper. As an added treat, we are having a snack time prior to the concert!
This is to be finger foods only. A great way to fellowship before the concert. Hope you all come and bring a friend!

The next day trip is October 23 for the Chihuly Blown Glass Museum. There are a few seats left. If interested, see Pat Russell.

Hey Sonshiners

Just a reminder that we will be having our meeting tomorrow (Sept. 29th). I know it is not the 1st Tuesday of the month, but we had to adjust the date because our Israel trip was supposed to leave on October 6th.

That trip has been postponed till April.

If you have always wanted to go to Israel, I have about 10 spots left available. Contact me and I will give you the details.

Tomorrow we are so excited to have the Puffers with us. It has been a few years since they have been with us due to scheduling issues.

Bob and Darlene are always a lot of fun. I promise, you will smile and laugh while you are here and will leave with a smile on your face.

Pat will be telling us about the next set of trips you will be able to sign up for.

There will also be door prizes, videos of the month, and so much fun and fellowship.

It all begins at 10:30am in the auditorium.

I also am going to tell you about something we are going to do differently this season.

The weather feels great, so it is a wonderful time to get out and come to Sonshiners.

So, bring a friend and a smile tomorrow (Sept 29th) and we will have a super time.

I need to give you some VERY important instructions.

Due to logistics our School has had to make some extensive changes in the carline and parking.

When you come to Sonshiners you MUST park in the front parking lot.

When we dismiss Sonshiners you CANNOT leave your car in the parking lot while you go to lunch with your friends.

PLEASE help us with this. It is vital that the front parking lot be totally empty for the afternoon carline pickup.

I’ll remind you tomorrow before you leave.

I look forward to seeing all who can make it tomorrow.

If you are still up north, I look forward to your soon return.

So don’t miss The Puffers tomorrow (Sept. 29th) in the auditorium at 10:30am.

We kicked off the 2026-2027 Sonshiner season today with a brunch and learned about all the exciting things planned for the upcoming months! If you weren’t there today, we hope to see you at the next meeting September 29 at 10:30 AM!

Sonshiners Kick Off Brunch!

Hey Sonshiners
A quick E-Mail to remind you that our first Sonshiner Meeting for the 2026-2027 season is going to be this coming Tuesday September 1st. For some reason there has be some confusion that it was going to be Sept. 8th.
Please mark your calendar for September 1st. We will begin at 10:00am in the gymnasium.
It will be a brunch so be thinking which of your amazing dishes you are going to bring and share with us.
I will be letting you know about the artist we have lined up and our new activities director Pat Russell will be filling us in on some of the amazing trips she has planned for us this season.
I will send out another reminder E-Mail on Monday as well as a "One Call" reminder.
I look forward to seeing some of you that I haven't seen since spring. If you are still up north we can't wait till you back down here at home. We pray you have a safe trip down.

One of the great things we saw today, was the Science On A Sphere!

Tuesday was our last meeting until September, and today was our last trip until September, and it was a good one!
We went to The Florida Air Museum in Lakeland. It was a great tour with so much to see. They have many exhibits:
NOAA: The science behind weather
NASA
Howard Hughes Flight Lounge
Air Racing
Military Aviation
Simulators
A Resource Library
Beuhler Aerospace Skills Center
There even is a high school on the grounds!
CENTRAL FLORIDA AEROSPACE ACADEMY

Afterwards, we went to Gaskins BBQ and Lobster, oh my! It was fantastic!
Thank you Cindy for making your last outing a great one!

Our next meeting is September 1st 10:30

Today was the last Sonshiner meeting for the 2025-2026 season! Where has the time gone?!
The brunch today was great and we are looking forward to September!
Thank you Cindy for all the great trips you planned. We appreciate you. Now you can sit back and enjoy the upcoming trips Pat has planned. Well, that is after your final trip on Thursday! 😀

Sonshiner End of Year Brunch

Hey Sonshiners

I hope you had a Blessed Mom’s Day yesterday.

We have reached the end of our 26th season. It has been an amazing 26 years. Yet as is often said, it doesn’t seem possible that it has been that long.

Yet we have such wonderful memories.

As our tradition has been for several years, we will have an “End of the Season Brunch” to close out this season, and to also let you know what is in store for next season.

So, our brunch will begin at 10:00am, Tuesday May 12th in the gymnasium.

Please bring that world famous brunch dish you make or that recipe you have been wanting to try and bring enough to share.

Also, Pat Russell our new “Activities Director” will be letting you know about this coming season’s trips. You will also be the first to be able to sign up for the first couple trips.

We are going to have a wonderful time around the brunch table, fellowshipping, reminiscing, and sharing memories.

Tuesday May 12th at 10:00am in the gymnasium.

So, park in the back parking lot, to give you easy access to the gymnasium.

If you have already gone back up north for the summer, we will miss you but really look forward to seeing you when you get back.

If I don’t see you at the meeting, I hope you have an enjoyable and safe summer.

We love you all and are blessed to be able to minister to each and everyone of you, as we do life and ministry together.
