Monday was a great day for the ladies; this morning they reached their goals of 150 pieces tied Quilt. Team work makes it better! They celebrated by going out for lunch to get their Free Pies in Great Bend.
Next Monday is Labor Day. NO Quilt Day!

The 2026 Cluster Meeting that was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hays, Kansas was a good turn out. Cluster Co - Coordinator Cindy Steiner and Kara Jecha did a great job organizing the event with the help of those who set up tables, brought food, helping in the kitchen serving food and such. More than 30 women attended the meeting. Everyone learned something from Pastor Jenny Jackson and Julie Carlson about their trip to Papua New Guinea.

Carol Bartlett displays some of the quilts that were handcrafted by her and women of the quilting group at Hope Lutheran Church over the past year. A select few were displayed at the Rush County Fair last week. Three of the quilts earned first, second, and third place in the adult quilt category. The winning quilts will be among those in our annual church auction. Date will be determined, stay tuned.

Hope's Sunday School class brightened the day of Locust Grove Village residents in LaCrosse by delivering handmade May baskets.

The Rush Center Community Mother/Daughter Banquet is quite the institution. 2026 marked the 93rd annual banquet in our small community. A warm, joyful evening brought together mothers and daughters for dinner and community celebration.
