Asbury Church Sunday School at 10 am, Worship at 11 am Every Sunday, and 7 pm on Thursdays. We still believe The Holy Bible is our authority and guiding principle.

We are laid back, fun, loving, caring, sharing, spiritual body of believers focused on worshipping and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and winning others for Him! Asbury was the oldest Methodist Church in Wythe County. It was began in 1825. It was built on the old Asbury Campground where hundr

eds of people were converted to Christ at brush arbor camp meetings going back to 1780's. As of June of 2020 we ended our relationship with the UMC over a long time disagreement on Biblical Authority. After losing the original Asbury Church and grounds to the UMC and spending three months Worshipping under a tent in the Speedwell Community we have moved to a new Church Building at 203 Church Street in Rural Retreat. We like to continue the tradition preaching Jesus Christ and him crucified, winning lost souls to Jesus, and being a light in a dead and dying world! If you are looking for a loving, Christ Centered, King James Bible based Church come give us a try.
