Where Can I Go? 🌿
"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" — Psalm 139:7
Have you ever felt completely alone, even in a crowded room? Or maybe you’ve gone through a season where you felt like God was distant, hidden behind the noise and stress of daily life.
In Psalm 139, David asks a question we’ve all internally whispered at some point: Where can I go to get away from Your presence?
But as David continues writing, he realizes something beautiful. There is no corner of the earth, no dark valley, and no hidden room where God cannot find us. If we climb to the highest heights, He is there. If we find ourselves in the lowest depths, He is right there beside us.
Here is the comforting truth for your Tuesday: You cannot outrun, out-sin, or out-hide the love of God.
You might feel hidden from the world today, but you are fully seen by the Creator of the universe. He is in your morning commute, your stressful work meeting, your quiet moments of grief, and your victories. You are never, ever alone.
🤍 Reflect: Take a deep breath right now. Acknowledge that God is in the room with you at this exact moment.
👇 Let’s chat in the comments: Where is one unexpected place you’ve felt God’s peaceful presence lately? Let’s encourage one another today!

🎓 Celebrating Our Graduates: A New Chapter Begins ✨
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
Tonight is a momentous evening for our Runge community as our incredible students cross the stage, flip their tassels, and graduate! 🎓✨
Looking back, our hearts are absolutely full of beautiful memories. We have watched these kids grow, learn, face challenges with resilience, and laugh together through the years. Every milestone has led to this very moment. Tonight, a cherished chapter beautifully closes, and a brand-new, unwritten chapter officially begins.
As they step out into the world—whether heading to college, trade schools, the workforce, or military service—we rest in the comfort that they do not go alone. God has already paved the way before them.
🕊️ A Blessing for Our Graduates
Heavenly Father, we lift up our Runge graduates to You tonight. Thank You for the gift of these children and for the joy of watching them grow. As they close this chapter of high school, we pray Your hands of protection and guidance stay firmly upon them.
Grant them wisdom for the decisions ahead, courage to stand strong in their faith, and a deep peace knowing that Your plans for them are filled with hope and a bright future. Bless their steps, guard their hearts, and let them always remember that they have a church family back home always praying for them and rooting for them.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are so incredibly proud of you!

đź“– Family Matters: The First Commandment with a Promise
"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." — Exodus 20:12 (NIV)
It’s easy to read the Fifth Commandment and think it’s just a rule for kids at the dinner table. But when God carved these words into stone, He was speaking to an entire community of adults, parents, and children alike.
In the ancient world, "honoring" your parents wasn't just about obedience; it was about weight and value. To honor someone means to treat them with high respect, to carry their dignity well, and to care for them as they age.
Notice what makes this commandment so unique: It's the very first one with a promise attached.
God links the health of our families directly to the health of our community. When we build cultures of honor at home—extending grace, patience, and respect to our parents (even when it’s hard or complicated)—we create a firm foundation that carries into every other part of our lives.
💡 Something to think about today:
Honor looks different in every season of life. For a child, it might be listening. For a teenager, it might be speaking kindly. For an adult, it might be showing up, making a phone call, or extending forgiveness.
How can you extend a little extra honor to the parents or parental figures in your life today?
🙏 Let’s Pray:
Lord, thank You for the gift of family. We know that relationships can sometimes be messy and complicated, but we ask for Your grace today. Help us to speak words of life, to show respect, and to build a culture of honor in our homes. Bless our families, and guide us in Your love. Amen.

"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." — 1 John 3:16
We talk about love a lot. We love our morning coffee, we love our favorite sports teams, and we love our families. But because we use the word so much, it’s easy to forget what real, world-changing love actually looks like.
John doesn't give us a poetic, abstract definition of love. He points directly to a moment in history.
True love is defined by the Cross.
Jesus didn’t just say He loved us; He proved it by laying down His life. It was a choice of ultimate sacrifice, trading His comfort, His safety, and His very breath so that we could have life.
But John doesn’t let us just sit back and admire what Jesus did. He challenges us with the second half of that verse: "And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters."
Most days, laying down our lives won't mean dying for someone. It means living for them. It means sacrificing our comfort, our time, or our agenda to show up for someone else.
It’s choosing patience when you’re tired.
It’s offering a listening ear when your to-do list is full.
It’s dropping off a meal, sending a text of encouragement, or forgiving an offense.
Today, let’s move love out of our vocabulary and into our actions. How can you "lay down your life" in a small way for someone in your circle today?

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18 🤍
Have you ever felt completely spent? Like a disappointment, a loss, or just the heavy weight of life has left you feeling "crushed"?
When we are hurting, our human instinct is often to hide. We think we need to gather our broken pieces, glue ourselves back together, and present a "perfect" version of ourselves to God.
But Psalm 34 tells us the exact opposite is true.
God doesn't wait for you to get it together. He doesn't pull away when you're sad, overwhelmed, or grieving. In fact, that is exactly when He moves closer.
If your heart feels fractured today, take a deep breath. You don't have to fake being okay. The Creator of the universe is right beside you, holding you in His grace, and working to heal your spirit. He is close. You are not alone.

For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you." — 2 Corinthians 1:12
In a world full of filters, fine print, and hidden motives, it is incredibly exhausting trying to maintain an image. We often feel pressured to use "earthly wisdom"—which usually means looking out for number one, playing the game, and keeping up appearances.
But Paul offers us a completely different, refreshing way to live: Simplicity and godly sincerity.
The Greek word for sincerity here literally means "sun-tested." It’s the image of holding a piece of pottery up to the light to prove there are no hidden cracks or cheap cover-ups.
When we rely on God’s grace instead of our own cleverness, we don't have to hide. We don’t have to manage a reputation. We can just be honest, kind, and authentic. True peace isn't having everyone like you; it’s having a clear conscience before God, knowing you walked through your day with a pure heart.
Reflect:
Where are you relying on your own "cleverness" this week instead of God's grace? Where can you trade a complicated situation for simple, godly honesty?
Pray with us:
Lord, help us to drop the masks today. Give us the courage to live with simple honesty and pure motives. Let Your grace guide our words and actions so that our lives reflect Your truth to everyone we meet. Amen.
