This Sunday, August 30, our congregation will meet with our cluster churches (Alamogordo, Corona, and Ancho) for worship at 11:00 a.m. at the Red Cloud Campground. This is a beautiful setting for a worship service, and we hope that you will be able to attend. There will be no services at our church that morning. The campground is south of Corona, and it takes a little over one hour to get to the site. There is a sign on the highway (Hwy. 54 to Corona) pointing the way to Red Cloud Campground. Here is a bit more specific information.

- There is a potluck lunch after the worship service, and we have been asked to bring sides and desserts.
- You will want to bring lawn chairs.
- Some of our members are planning to carpool and will meet at the Alto Post Office at 9:15 and will leave there at 9:30. If you plan to carpool, please contact P.K. Johns at [email protected]

This month, our church joyfully celebrated 78 years of faith, fellowship, and service! ❤️⛪️

What a beautiful milestone and a wonderful reminder of God’s faithfulness throughout the years. We are so grateful for all of the pastors, members, families, and friends who have helped make our church a place of worship, community, love, and service.

A special thank you to Commissioned Pastor Annette Joyner for the beautiful and delicious anniversary cake! 🎂 It was the perfect way to celebrate such a special occasion.

Here’s to 78 years of memories, ministry, and God’s continued blessings and to many more years ahead! 🙏

🎒 Backpack Blessing at First Presbyterian Church!

Bring your backpack and join us this Sunday at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, across from McDonald’s!

We’ll pray over our students and their backpacks as they head into a new school year. Each student will also receive a special gift and donuts after! 🍩💙

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and prayed for our Back to School outreach!

Because of your generosity, we were able to provide 150 children with new winter coats and families with cleaning supplies at the Back to School Bash at Wingfield Park:

Every coat and cleaning supply was distributed within the first hour. We're grateful for the opportunity to help so many local families as they prepare for the new school year.

We'll also continue this outreach later this fall by providing winter coats to children at local schools and daycares.

Thank you for helping us share God's love in our community. Please keep our students, teachers, school staff, and families in your prayers as the school year begins. ❤️

Due to the Ruidoso Ironman athletic event going on in the village this weekend, please be aware of some road closures that may affect your route to church in the morning. (see list below).

For north Ruidoso and Alto folks, the best route would be to come down Mechem Drive all the way to Sudderth Drive. Both Hull Road and Gavilan Canyon Road will be closed. Please plan your route accordingly.

We hope to see you at 10:00 in the morning for the study led by Rev. Jan Burns-Hintze on "Presbyterian Beliefs". Followed by 11 am worship.
