The J.O.Y ministry is sponsoring a banquet on March 4th at SHBC fellowship hall from 6 -9 pm. There will be good food, good gospel music, and good fellowship. The cost is $20. Per person. Pay at the door but need to call the church office to make a reservation. That number is 434-973-7473. This is a fun time to see old and new friends.

EXCITING NEWS! There will be a JOY outing on Wednesday, July 21, to the Silk Mill Grill, 101 Woodmark Street in Orange.

The plan is to meet at the Spring Hill parking lot and leave together as a group at 12:00 to head for Orange together.

This will be the first JOY outing since February 2020.

Our 2020 Valentine's Banquet was bigger and better than ever, with delicious food provided by Summy's Catering. Fun entertainment by Ruth Nethery and her group "Always Time" and country tunes by Tommy Wood and T.C. Howard highlighted the evening. For photos, check out the album below.

Thirty-Six Just Older Youths enjoyed a good meal and great fellowship at the Big Meadows Lodge on October 17. Although the leaves haven't turned yet, the cool temperatures and wind on the mountain sure felt like Fall has arrived. Hope you can join us for our next JOY event. See the Fall Colors! Luncheon at Big Meadows Lodge…and More

When: Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Getting there: Carpool from SHBC departing at 11:00 am or drive yourself
Cost: Lunch Entrée menu prices range from $9 to $21

Optional Activities After Lunch
Option 1 – Short hike on the Limberlost Trail, a fully accessible trail with a pressed gravel surface. Located at milepost 43, about 8-mile drive from Big Meadows. The 1.3-mile loop trail is built for visitors of all ages and abilities and passes through forest and mountain laurel. There are many benches along the trail for those who want to relax and enjoy the fall colors.
Option 2 – Visit the Harry F. Byrd Sr. Visitor Center, which houses a historical exhibit, including two videos - Experience Shenandoah (12 mins) and Shenandoah, the Gift (15 mins)
