Sacred Heart is so blessed to have Lauren Machita as a parishioner and dedicated volunteer.

Over the years, Lauren has generously shared her time and talents in many capacities throughout our parish. In recent years, she has been an integral member of our Marketing Team, helping to communicate the mission and spirit of Sacred Heart in creative and meaningful ways. Most recently, Lauren is a volunteer with our upcoming Block Party.

Lauren has a remarkable gift for writing. Her words seem to dance off the page, capturing hearts and inspiring others with their beauty and thoughtfulness.
Her talents also shine when she leads tours of our church property. Engaging, informative, and passionate, Lauren brings our parish history and mission to life. She has a natural ability to connect with people and teach in a way that leaves a lasting impression.

As you can see from this Holy Cross article, Lauren also serves on our Regional School Board, where she is recognized for her hard work.

Their commitment, passion, and countless hours of hard work have helped shape our school into the special place it is today. Permanent Deacon Joseph F. Houser, passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 87.

Archbishop Pérez Announces Planning Study Results

The Catholic Church of Philadelphia recently completed a campaign planning study, and the response from across the Archdiocese was strong and encouraging. More than 2,000 families shared feedback to help shape this important effort rooted in Archbishop Pérez’s Trust and Hope pastoral plan. In response to this positive momentum, Archbishop Pérez has announced that the Archdiocese will move into the preparation phase for an Archdiocesan-wide campaign.
