Today was our final day in Mexico. We took a trip to the Valle de Guadalupe as we continued to learn about migration in the area - including the migration of Russians in the early 20th century. We saw a Russian migrant museum and broke bread as we processed our time in Mexico.

Our final stop today was at the Otay Mesa Detention Center with . We learned about the horrific conditions our neighbors are kept in paid for by our tax dollars, and the incredible people working to shut it all down. We could hear the 2,000 people inside while we walked freely outside.

Wednesday morning, one of the little girls staying at Deborah's House (the shelter that is serving as home base for our team) told Pastor Sarah that her Barbie doll had no clothes.

She told the right people.

After our activities for the day, our team got to work sewing new doll dresses for the 3 little girls here. The group also assisted their mom in making special pillowcases for each of the girls. After dinner, we made a special presentation from the "Fairy Godmothers" and their own magical Mommy. The joy was contagious!!
