Please remember that the second collection this weekend will be to help with the relief efforts after the devastating earthquake in Colombia.

Following the devastating earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10, the Diocese of Palm Beach invites the faithful to join in prayer and solidarity with the people of Colombia, especially those in the affected areas.

A Special Mass in Solidarity with Colombia will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church & School. All are welcome, with a special invitation extended to members of the Colombian community.

To support relief efforts for those impacted by the earthquake, a voluntary special second collection has been authorized for parishes, missions, and schools and should be taken up as soon as possible.

Please keep the victims, their families, and all the people of Colombia in your prayers. May Our Lady of Chiquinquirá intercede for them and bring consolation, healing, and hope during this difficult time.

· Decree No. 012 concerning the appointment of members to several diocesan boards.

· Particular Law No. I-2026 regarding policies and procedures on Protecting and Safeguarding the People of God.

· Decree No. 013 establishing new diocesan offices with accompanying leadership appointments and clergy assignments.

Join Most Reverend Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez, for a special Mass for the Solidarity for Victims of the Earthquake in Colombia on August 15, 2026 at 11:30am St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church & School.

As members of one faith family, we are called to lift up in prayer all those affected by this devastating tragedy, especially those who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or been displaced from their homes.

Let us come together in solidarity and entrust the people of Colombia to God's loving care. May He grant comfort to the grieving, healing to the wounded, and strength to all those working to bring relief and hope in the wake of this disaster.

The Florida bishops have written to Senator Rick Scott and Senator Ashley Moody to express deep pastoral concern in response to the current state of our immigration system and the human realities involved. The situation is especially daunting for hundreds of thousands of Haitians, Venezuelans, and others who have been relying on temporary protected status (TPS) to live and work lawfully in the United States. So many of these families are left without any legal status or a way to support themselves, all while returning to their country of origin remains unsafe, impractical, and unreasonable because of the ongoing conditions there.
