Woodside Bible Church Royal Oak Helping people belong to Christ, grow in Christ and reach the world for Christ. Sunday services at 9 and 11am! All are welcome!

Through 60 minutes of musical worship, biblical teaching, experiencing stories of hope, often eating together, and reminding each other about Jesus' love for both us and our city, we are able to move back into o

ur week, strongly rooted in who God is, who we are, and God's calling upon our lives in Royal Oak, MI and beyond!

At Woodside, the Special Needs Ministry is a vital part of the Body of Christ.

When Jesus walked this earth, He was drawn to those the world pushed aside. He offered compassion, hope, and a new identity beyond every label. That same heart still beats in His Church today.

Read today's blog to discover three ways the special needs community carries out God's mission and reflects His love to all.

Spiritual growth doesn't happen overnight.

In Galatians 5:22–23, Paul writes: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.”

The fruit of the Spirit is the visible evidence of the Holy Spirit working within a believer’s life. Just as fruit on a tree reveals what kind of tree it is, spiritual fruit reveals spiritual growth. These characteristics are not personality traits that some people naturally have and others don’t. They are qualities produced through abiding in Christ.

Amanda’s Verse
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Ryan’s Verse
Hebrews 12:1–4 (NLT): And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. 4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Memorial Day honors those who gave their lives for our American freedoms and to protect the oppressed around the world.

As Christians, we have a unique opportunity to reflect the heart of Jesus by honoring those who served, coming alongside those who grieve, and sharing the Gospel in a country made free by their sacrifice.
