Jesus took what we deserved so we could receive what we never could have earned. Our peace, forgiveness, and healing are found in His sacrifice.

Every Christian testimony begins at the cross. Not with our strength. Not with our goodness. Not with our ability to make ourselves right.

It begins with Christ, who suffered for us, carried our sin, and made peace possible.

Take time today to thank Jesus for the sacrifice He made for you, and let your life reflect gratitude for His grace.

Elijah stood before a king, but he knew he truly stood before God.

That kind of faith gives courage. Elijah did not speak from his own authority or confidence. He spoke because he served the living God.

First Kings 17 reminds us that faithfulness may require courage, conviction, and trust when the world around us is not listening.

Ask God to help you stand faithfully before Him this week, with courage in your heart and truth in your words.

Thursday Throwback

VBS 2012

What a great reminder of the time, creativity, and care that have gone into teaching our children through the years.

Scenes like this show more than a lesson being taught. They show young hearts listening, volunteers serving, and God’s word being shared in a way children can remember.

VBS has always been a special opportunity to plant seeds of faith, build joyful memories, and help the next generation learn about the love and truth of God.

Today’s Reflection:
Pray for the children in our church, and thank God for everyone who has helped teach, encourage, and guide them through the years.

Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us that God is not looking for halfhearted attention. He wants our whole heart.

It is easy to seek God only when life is hard, when we need answers, or when we have run out of options. But wisdom means pursuing Him daily, sincerely, and completely.

God is not hiding from those who truly seek Him. He invites us to draw near with honest hearts and deeper faith.

Take time today to seek God without distraction, and ask Him to help you give Him your whole heart.
