Kelley was born on April 3, 1980 to Margaret (Kelley) and Gary McFadden. She grew up in Allen Park, MI alongside her slightly older twin brother Kevin.

Kelley is survived by her husband Dan; her two children, Braeden and Maggie; father Gary (Elizabeth) McFadden; twin brother, Kevin (Colleen) McFadden, and aunts Kathleen Kelley and Nancy Hamilton. Her mother Margaret preceded her in death.

Kelley was a teacher and a traveler, a musician, a selfless mom, and an excellent pastor's wife. She loved water, especially visiting the ocean and going on new adventures, but treasured time closer to home with family and friends just as much. Whether she was camping in a familiar place, watching birds and butterflies, discovering new worlds through books, or enjoying crafts, puzzles, and board games, she almost always had a smile on her face. She served God through ladies' Bible studies, playing the violin, teaching her children, and telling other people about Jesus.

Some of her favorite verses were Ephesians 2:8-9. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

She also shared often in her final days these words from 2 Corinthians 5:6-7. “Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

After a courageous but overwhelming battle with cancer, Kelley went home to meet Jesus early in the morning hours on March 5, 2022. She finished her race. She is waiting on the farther shore for all who trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Will you meet her there?

Leviticus 16 teaches us we must come humbly before God to receive his atonement.
