This 5th Sunday of August has been amazing. We had Youth Sunday today. Shady Hill is so thankful to the parents who allow us to use their children as they do the work of the Lord. Shamiyah and Narahji did an amazing job and we are so proud. You could tell God was definitely in the mix.

This was also the Sunday our Nurse's Ministry provided us information on the affects of getting a lack of sleep. Thank you for the information Nurse Dillehay. To sum it up, cut the tv off and go to bed...

We also welcomed back one of own. We had a surprise special presentation that included Private Williams of the United States Marine Corp and his grandfather Corporal Daniel Williams Jr. Retired USMC.

Our remarkable Associate Minister Rev. Boyd was our speaker providing a wonderful message on "The Word of God." Also our illustrious Pastor Rev. Woods served as our MC providing us the order of the program all the while keeping us engaged as the spirit could be felt throughout the service.

The choir and musicians provided such uplifting songs.

Each week the media department and ushers work hard providing a welcoming experience for those in-house and on Facebook.

It was so nice to see so many visitors, we are thankful for your presence. Shady Hill continues to follow its motto: We are the Church of Choice for Christ and Community.

Fifth Sunday in August was a wonderful day. Here is our surprise special presentation today. Shady Hill had been praying for one of its own. Private Williams returned from his Marine training and we are so elated. Watch here as he makes his entrance accompanied by his grandfather Corporal Daniel Williams Jr. United States Marine Corp Retired.

This was a beautiful moment.

This 4th Sunday of August has been amazing. We celebrated our 158th Church Anniversary. Shady Hill is so thankful to how far God has brought us. Our roots and the history of the church run deep as Dr. Richmond shared with us today. You could tell God was definitely in the mix.

This was also our Memorial Brick Observance Service. Those who have passed on before us were acknowledged and their bricks will be placed on display in our beautiful Memorial Garden.

Our remarkable Pastor Emeritus Dr. James A. Richmond was our speaker providing a wonderful word on Memories. Also our illustrious Pastor Rev. Woods served as our MC providing us the order of the program all the while keeping us engaged as the spirit could be felt throughout the service.

The choir and musicians provided such uplifting songs and a special Memorial Song was dedicated to our lost loved ones.

Each week the media department and ushers work hard providing a welcoming experience for those in-house and on Facebook.
