What a joy it has been celebrating Eastertide and Pentecost, recognizing the enormity of God’s love and His incessant desire to embrace us in a loving and eternal relationship. Our church is entering a new season in its 211 years of existence. We will be receiving a newly appointed pastor, the 68th clergy to shepherd us into the future. Knowing that it is God’s will that our church bear much fruit and live in the abundance of His grace, this should be an exciting and expectant time. The Apostle Paul understood the challenges of differing seasons of ministry and urged the church of his day not to grow weary. This is an excellent word for us at Concord as well, and we should look to the future with great excitement as we anticipate reaping an enormous harvest for the kingdom. Come, celebrate with us and invite all those important to you, for this is truly the Good News of the Gospel.

To better prepare yourself, consider reading the primary texts for this Sunday: Galatians 6:1-2, 7-10‬. Come and let us rejoice together, see you in worship!‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Summer is almost here, and we’re ready to kick it off in the best way possible!

Join us this Saturday, May 30th from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM for our Concord Kids Summer Kick-Off; an afternoon packed with delicious food, exciting games, a giant water slide, and tons of fun in the sun for the whole family! REGISTER: bit.ly/ConcordChurchFM

Now that we have fully embraced the pillars of our faith through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God this Easter Season, we move on to the fulfillment of another of God’s incredible promises. When Jesus announced that He would be returning to the Father, the promise He made was that He would not leave His children orphaned. Instead, He promised to send us a comforter, and advocate, a teacher, the Spirit of truth (John 14:16-17) to be with us always. The enormity of God’s plan entered an entirely new phase, from being God on a mountain, or pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day, to being born of the flesh and dwelling among us, to now being the very Holy Spirit of God literally making His home in the hearts of true believers. Can we comprehend the enormity of His desire to draw close? Come, celebrate with us and invite all those important to you, for this is truly the Good News of the Gospel.
