rael’s covenants of promise. Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. You see God made a covenant with Abraham and his seed. The word seed is singular and that seed is Christ. And according to God’s word if we belong to Christ, and I believe that any born again believer can agree with that, then we are Abraham's seed as well, and HEIRS according to the all those promises. Galatians 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. The NIV reads it like this: If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. So there can be no misunderstanding what God meant, God through the Apostle Paul was speaking to Gentiles not Jews. We Gentiles through Christ ARE Abraham's seed. Now sense you know that you are the seed of Abraham and an heir of all his promises wouldn't it behoove you to know what Abraham's promises are? After all those promises belong to you as well. I've heard people say that you can’t take what God said to Israel and make that yours. God made the promise to Abraham long before Israel was even a nation. He said to Abraham through you shall all families of the earth be blessed. That means Israel and us too. Watch this! Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, You see that? There is no us and them, there’s just us. Jesus took the Jew, and the Gentile and made one new man. So all those covenant promises made to Israel are just as much yours as they are theirs. But you have to receive them by faith.
