Today, we give thanks for the wonderful men of our Men’s Ministry for thoughtfully preparing and serving a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch, setting up a fun iced coffee bar, and blessing all the mothers with roses as a small token of love and appreciation. 🌹☕️

Your kindness, service, and generosity made this celebration truly special for all the mothers and families of St. James. Thank you for honoring the women who nurture, guide, and strengthen our homes and church community each day. ❤️

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
— Proverbs 31:28

❤️Happy Mother’s Day from St. James Orthodox Mission Church! 🌹

Serving with love in our community 🤍

This week, parishioners of St. James Orthodox Mission Church had the blessing of volunteering at Minnie’s Food Pantry—an incredible organization providing nourishment, hope, and dignity to families in need.

From packing food to supporting distribution, it was a meaningful reminder that even small acts of service can make a lasting impact. Together, we were able to share Christ’s love through action and compassion.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”
— Matthew 25:40

Grateful for the opportunity to serve and give back. May we continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community.

Holy Week at St. James Orthodox Mission Church

Beloved in Christ,
As we enter this most holy and solemn week, we invite you to come and walk with us through the sacred mysteries of our Lord’s Passion, Crucifixion, and Glorious Resurrection.

Holy Week is a time of prayer, repentance, and stillness—a time to set aside the cares of this world and draw near to Christ with watchful hearts. Together, let us journey from the Cross to the radiant joy of the Empty Tomb, preparing ourselves to receive the peace and light of the Risen Lord.

All services will be conducted in English, and we sincerely hope they will be meaningful and spiritually enriching for all who attend.

We lovingly encourage all parishioners, family, and friends to attend the services and fully partake in this blessed season.

Please refer to the schedule in the image and join us as you are able.

All are welcome!

We will celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation of our Lord to the Virgin Mary tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 24th, at 6:30 PM at church with Evening Prayers followed by the Divine Liturgy and Intercessory Prayers.

On this sacred feast, we commemorate the Archangel Gabriel’s announcement to St. Mary that she would conceive and bear a son. The Annunciation marks the beginning of the mysteries of the Incarnation and Redemption that we find in Christ and is one of the most significant feasts of the Church.

All are warmly invited to join in this beautiful and meaningful celebration.

“For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
-St. Luke 1:48-50

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity.”

From New Year’s Day through today, St. James was blessed by the presence and prayers of Rev. Fr. Mat Alexander and Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Argey George. We also celebrated the birthday and ordination anniversary of Mat Achen—may the Lord grant him many years.

With grateful hearts, we give thanks for faith, fellowship, and community. ☦️💙

Join us tomorrow Monday, January 5th, for the Feast of Denaho (Epiphany) beginning at 6:30 PM with Evening Prayer, followed by the Blessing of the Water and the Divine Liturgy. This feast commemorates the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ in the River Jordan, when the Holy Trinity was revealed and all creation was sanctified through the waters.

In the Orthodox Church, this feast also reminds us of our own baptism and our calling to live a renewed life in Christ. All are warmly invited to come, pray together, and receive the blessing of this great and holy feast.
