Hey friends and family!!

I’m here to give an update on Jacob’s health and to ask for more prayer.

Last week Jake had a PET scan that showed that his melanoma has, again, spread to several new areas. While we were still processing that news, Jake got very sick and was admitted to UK on Saturday night.

Right now, doctors are treating him for severe liver inflammation/toxicity and early stages of liver failure. His liver enzyme levels are approximately 20 times higher than normal, and he remains hospitalized while the medical team works to bring those numbers down. At this time, he cannot be discharged or receive any cancer treatment until his liver function improves.

We know God is still able and still SO GOOD. We’re asking everyone who will to join us in praying specifically for:
1. Healing and restoration of Jake’s liver
2. Wisdom for his doctors and medical team
3. Strength, peace, and comfort for Jake and our family
4. Favor as we navigate the next steps in his cancer treatment

We are so grateful for every prayer, visitor, message, and act of kindness. While we may not be able to respond to everyone individually right now, please know that your support means more to us than we can express!!

Thank you for standing with us and believing with us!! Nothing about Jake’s situation is too big for our God, and we fully believe He’s been with us and will continue to be with us every step of the way ❤️

FAC took a huge loss yesterday. Bro.. Jimmy Locklear was a faithful and dedicated member of First Apostolic Church for many years. His love for God, his church, and family was evident. Bro. Jimmy’s kindness, faithfulness, and unwavering commitment to the Lord touched many lives. He was known for traveling with Bishop Chavis, driving him to attend many camp meetings, being a blessing through song. His legacy of faith and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Please keep his family in prayer. Bro. Jimmy, you have found that peace in the valley, you ministered through song for many years. We love you OUR brother. We won't say goodbye, just see you later.
