Showing our faithfulness to Christ and our gratitude for our Native generations who had the heart to give us this place to come together and worship the Lord, and our Church of God Heritage in the Pembroke/Lumberton area.

If you have skilled tradesmen in your congregation we would love to have them come and take part.

Thank you Jason Erick Hunt for sharing these with us. These articles speak of the early churches on the Pembroke District - Church of God.

This shows the growth in our number of churches and growth in membership and church attendance over a little more than a decade.

This was not a single church move, but a collaborative work in different areas around Robeson county through togetherness and northerly and sisterly compassion to bring people to Christ and create a place where our people could experience an outpour of the Holy Ghost.

Pembroke District Family, He is still that same God that blessed your people then, and we are the same people and offspring of those people that made the Pembroke District the strong district that she is.

You have a right to celebrate not only what the Lord has done, but what he is still doing , and going to do on the Pembroke District.

Praise the Lord!!!!

Thank you Jason Erick Hunt for providing us with a look back, and reminder of the Lumbee people's contribution, investment, and impact in the Church of God both in Eastern North Carolina and Internationally.

Thank the Lord for our heritage and our people continued hunger for Christ and Christian Service.

This Church that was founded by the transplant Lumbee Natives was founded by Sis Nete Hammonds, mother of Pastor Redell Hammonds of Pembroke Church of God, and Ms Stella Chavis Smith one of the first members of this church that started in a basement of a schoolhouse on the other end of the East Baltimore block where years later they would purchase the Jewish Synagogue and grew under the leadership of the current pastor, Bob Dobson, and has relocated to another location in the city and is now called the Charm City Church of God.

Pastor Dobson came into the Church of God under Pastor Redell Hammonds who founded the Dundalk Church of God in Baltimore, Md.

Pastor Redell came in under pastors Haywood Johnson and pastor Brewington, both Lumbee native pastors.

We the minister's and laity of the Pembroke District of the Church of God in Eastern North Carolina. Want to wish every Service Man and Woman, a heartfelt THANK YOU for your selfless sacrifice every day to protect us and our borders here at home, and for conserving of our freedoms from foreign and domestic threats to our democratic/republic way of life. Thank you to all that serve both here at home and in other nations around the world. May the Lord protect all of our people in uniform.
