Nine years ago a group of five students, who had graduated from Freed-Hardeman University, moved to Coral Springs, Florida to plant a Hispanic congregation. On the first Sunday in March of 2014, The Springs Iglesia de Cristo opened its doors. In attendance were the five and three other people. These young missionaries set out with little experience, very short on funds, but a faith that could move mountains. The mountains would be many: having to move locations several times, the red tape of government, one of the five moving away, the language, the cultural differences and learning to work as a team. Yet, nine years later the mission continues. On the first Sunday in March 2023, more tha 100 souls gathered to worship God. Not one of the four remaining students/missionaries said, ”look what we have done” but they give God the glory. While we know this is God’s work, He has used these men and women to reach the lost. Riley & Brittany Hendrix and Mauricio & Kayla Yegros are to be commended for their faith, dedication and perseverance as laborers in God’s great kingdom.

There will be no Bible class on Sunday. The Berrys took teens to the Belgrade youth rally and will be getting back late Saturday night. We hope to see everyone for worship at 11am.

We will not be meeting again this morning. Shawn Berry is still dealing with pneumonia and is recovering at home with an oxygen machine. Pray for his speedy recovery.
