When you get out of your own backyard and into your community, you'll be amazed at the stories you hear.
❤️ Molly’s Story ❤️
“We cannot thank you all enough for loving your neighbors!
A group worked on our yard, and my family wants to help next year! We do not currently belong to a church family, but after today, I (along with my two kids) was reminded just how important it can be.
Someone with a son named JP from Gateway church asked if he could pray for us, and for some reason, it brought me to tears. Also, JP is deaf, and my 7 year old was interested in learning how to say “thank you” and “I love you” in sign language. JP taught him, and then showed him “amen”.
Later, Rowan asked me… “mom, when can we say amen?”…I told him that it’s a way to end our conversations to with God, like when we say our well wishes and what we are thankful for at dinner time.”
I guess what I’m saying is, thank you you all for giving me the perfect example to teach him what it means to “love your neighbor”, and also, that it’s time to start talking with them more about my beliefs as a Christian.
Overwhelmed with gratitude and thankful for the gentle nudge on this “total eclipse of the heart” kind of day, to get involved with a church family!”

Second Photo: And the other photo is of my son Rowan, hugging JP. He went around and gave every single volunteer there a hug, too.”
