Austin and Round Rock friends, I am moving back to Alabama at the end of this month. I will miss you all. Texas is huge in my heart and has changed me forever. Thank you all for being faithful friends. I'm grateful that Facebook will keep us in touch.

Our radishes did not grow. Not even the hint of an underdeveloped bulb. But there are lessons to be learned in this failure. First, I did not w**d out the smaller plants to give the healthier plant room to grow. Second, I didn't water them every day.
If we take spiritual lessons from this kids, we need to stay connected to Christ every day. Every day we should pray and read God's word and not rely on what we did yesterday or two days ago. Also, we have to w**d out the things that are competing for our attention. We have to limit the time we spend engaged in activities that don't bring glory to God. We also have to be choosy about what friends we surround ourselves with- are they draining us or encouraging us in our faith journey.
I'm sorry I didn't care for our radish plants the way I should, but this has opened my eyes to the above spiritual lessons that I need to address in my own life. I hope you will join me in this journey- a lesson from failed radishes!

Our Palm Valley Preschool started meeting for chapel today and this week is the first ever week to visit the new Chapel Room. It's set up and ready for kid's to explore the story of Abraham and Sarah.

Our theme for Sunday School this year is "Grow Your Faith." We planted radish seeds after our Crossover Children's Church lesson

Round Rock, Austin, and Leander friends, Education Connection is recruiting volunteers to spend 30 minutes a week reading to children in area public schools. The goal is to have every kid reading by the time they are in 3rd grade. You can volunteer at a school in your neighborhood, near your work, or where your children or grandchildren attend.
